This article analyzes the potential of Restorative Justice as a strategy for promoting respect for sexual and gender diversity in the school environment, investigating how restorative practices — dialogue circles, conflict mediation, and active listening — can contribute to building a culture of peace and preventing violence motivated by gender and sexual orientation prejudice. Through an interdisciplinary literature review, combining contributions from Law, Education, and Gender Studies, and grounded in Brazilian legal frameworks (the 1988 Federal Constitution, CNJ Resolution 225/2016, ECA, and BNCC), the study examines Brazilian experiences of implementing Restorative Justice in schools and the institutional, cultural, and training challenges that its consolidation faces. The article concludes that the restorative approach, when integrated into the school’s political-pedagogical project and supported by continuous teacher training, constitutes an effective instrument for transforming school relationships, strengthening the sense of belonging among LGBTQIAPN+ students, and contributing to the realization of human rights in education.
