Nowadays, the search for aesthetic procedures is growing in dental clinics. Several techniques once offered by plastic surgeons and dermatologists now make up a list of procedures carried out by dental surgeons, which is recognised as a dental speciality called Orofacial Harmonization. However, these procedures can cause various complications, whether immediate or delayed, reversible or irreversible, and are most often treated by the plastic surgery. Edema, nodule formation, painful symptoms, tissue necrosis, asymmetries, blurred vision, blindness and even death have been reported in the medical literature. The purpose of this paper is to establish considerations about the victim resulting from the practice of Facial Harmonization by the dental surgeon and the subsequent judicialization of the issue, with the professional being held responsible for the aesthetic damage and the victim's health.
