Duties of the Editorial Team
Duties of the Editorial Team:
-
Decision of publication: The editors of the journal are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal will be published. The decisions must be guided by the editorial policy of the periodical, without any interest distinct from the scientific merit of the articles.
-
Isonomy, impartiality and ethics: Editors must evaluate the articles submitted to the journal for their content and academic merit, without discrimination of race, sex, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality or political philosophy of the authors.
-
Confidentiality: The editorial team should not disclose any information about the articles submitted to the journal, except to the authors themselves, the reviewers and the Advisers. Inside information or ideas obtained by reading the articles must be kept secret and must not be used for personal gain.
-
Conflict of interest: Publishers should refrain from evaluating articles in respect of which they have a conflict of interest, for competitive, collaborative or other forms of connection with any of the authors or institutions that are related to the articles.
-
Cooperation: Editors should take appropriate action when ethical complaints are made about a manuscript submitted to or published by the journal.
-
Publishing in the Magazine: The editorial team and advisors, given that they also constitute expertise in the subjects of the magazine, may publish occasionally in the magazine, especially in the initial volumes and in special editions, respecting the same rules of editorial policy.
