Psychopy and Criminal Imputability

The main objective of this article is to discuss psychopathy and the challenge that the psychopathic individual has become for justice and for Brazilian society due to the need for specific legal provision to deal with such pathology. To achieve the main objective, a thorough approach to the topic was necessary, in order to analyze studies and doctrines on personality disorders in general, the “psychopath” nomenclature, the types of psychopaths, treatments, criminological aspects, Brazilian criminal legislation e real cases of Brazilian psychopaths. In addition, interviews were carried out with health professionals and legal experts who deal with these individuals throughout their careers.
