Abstract

The presente article aims to adress issues related do violence against women such as a chronic problem in brazilian society, for many years demanding specific legal measures to combat these crimes e protect the victims.

It was sought through reports and data collected by public agencies and other articles, to comprehend the victims's profile e their struggle when they reach for police and judicial authorities to report the violence suffered. Wich has revealed a greater need to improve public services to assist these women with psychological and even financial support in order to protect them e encourage the denunciations of theis aggressors.
