Meandros entre a polícia comunitária e a polícia cidadã

The purpose of this scientific article is to present an analysis based on the existing doctrines of Community Police, the well-known model of rapprochement between police forces and society. In this step, based on established theoretical foundations on the subject, the attempt was to verify the correlation between the concepts and the more contemporary mechanisms used to promote the integration and engagement of specific communities with the military police, using it as a study unit and, consequently, the geographic territory of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo. The article managed to achieve the objectives it set out to achieve, demonstrating with solar clarity that the aforementioned public force in São Paulo currently breathes the philosophy in question, separating the good citizen from the lawbreaker with primacy, allying with the one with the objective of collective well-being.
