Avoidable victims
The drama of land traffic

This present article seeks to analyze the issue of traffic accidents that result in thousands of victims yearly. Based on a study conducted by the World Health Organization, were established objectives for countries to pursue along a decade (2011-2020). The Brazilian situation is analyzed from the number of deaths and hospitalizations in the questioned period, passing by the causes of the events, the main characters involved, the measures implemented aiming at changing the situation with legislative and administrative changes in addition to instruments for repairing damages.
