This article, through the deductive method and bibliographical analysis, demonstrates that the number of complaints of domestic violence against women, even after the new legislation, only increase in Brazil, clarifying the fact that Justice in the way it is currently applied nothing has solved the root of the problem: structural violence in our country.
From this, it is indicated that Restorative Justice, seen as a means of recovering the dignity of the victim, restoring the alleged aggressor, and bringing to light the community’s sense of collective, when applied to cases of domestic violence against women, guarantees their dignity is extremely relevant and positive, as it gives voice to the woman (victim), while clarifying the sense of collectivism shows that the protection of women is everyone’s duty.
