This article analyzes the interdisciplinary care of women victims of domestic violence, emphasizing the contributions of restorative justice to the formulation and implementation of integrated and humane public policies. It begins by recognizing the limitations of the traditional punitive model and the need for care that considers the complexity of gender-based violence, promoting not only criminal accountability but also comprehensive reparation and the prevention of revictimization.
Interdisciplinary care is discussed as an essential practice for articulating knowledge from Law, Psychology, Social Work, Health, and other fields, promoting comprehensive care that is sensitive to the needs of victims.
The fundamental role of the third sector is highlighted, whose work, in partnership with the State, expands the reach, innovation, and social sensitivity of public policies to combat violence against women.
Restorative justice is presented as a complementary paradigm to the traditional system, based on active listening, voluntary accountability, and the reconstruction of social bonds, with the potential to transform institutional and community culture. The article details the normative guidelines and challenges of applying restorative justice in the Maria da Penha Law, advocating for its full integration into public policies through intersectoral and participatory actions.
Finally, practical guidelines are proposed for interinstitutional and community integration, including the creation of specialized centers, unified protocols, integrated service centers, ongoing training, and social oversight mechanisms, with a view to implementing restorative, interdisciplinary public policies centered on women's dignity and rights.
Thus, it is concluded that building an effective and humane protection network depends on overcoming the exclusively punitive paradigm, on qualified coordination between the State and civil society, and on incorporating restorative principles into public administration, as an essential vector for promoting gender justice in Brazil.
