URBAN VIOLENCE: PSYCHOLOGY IN THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

This article deals with field research, based on the intervention of psychology in the Public Ministry of a city in the interior of RS with victims of urban crimes. The objective of the article is to describe and analyze the interventions and contributions of psychology in this internship field. Based on the use of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, it is agreed that the psychological practices used contributed to the systematization of the pilot project, both in terms of psychological monitoring of the Prosecutor's Office's actions and in relation to welcoming and citizenship promotion actions. to the victims. The results point to the effectiveness of public policies, attributing to the integration of psychology with the Public Prosecutor's Office a potential field of protection and promotion of citizenship for victims.
