This article aims to analyze, from the perspective of victimology and the rights of children and adolescents, the mechanisms of institutional and symbolic revictimization based on real cases reported in the Brazilian media between 2020 and 2024, focusing on the case of the girl known as 'Julia.' Through Julia's story, as well as other similar cases of sexual violence against children in Brazil, the study discusses the institutional and symbolic revictimization promoted by the press, society, and the State, in opposition to the protection of children's rights, especially regarding privacy and dignity, in light of the constitutional principles of full and absolute protection. The approach is qualitative and documentary, with a legal and intersectional analysis of news reports, legislation, and institutional statements. The article addresses not only the legal damage but also the symbolic and social impacts of media exposure. This is a relevant reflection in a country where the press still demonstrates ethical fragility when dealing with highly sensitive and intimate cases involving children and adolescents, and where the right to confidentiality and protection is still frequently violated by institutional omissions. It is concluded that the absence of confidentiality protocols, the lack of specialized and qualified listening, and insufficient limits on media activity increase the victim’s vulnerability, compromising their dignity and right to full development
