Lei Maria da Penha: Um Marco na Luta contra a Violência Doméstica
Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the concepts of violence, aimed at the female class, based on the areas of health, human sciences and legislation. As well as analyzing the Maria da Penha Law, and its effectiveness against violence, and gender differences. The fight for equality between men and women is a relevant aspect for society and thus seeking democracy. Over time, the female class has been fighting against violence committed by men, mainly by family members and partners. In the text, we will study what changed with the publication of the Maria da Penha Law and the benefits of the legislation, using books, laws and articles. The study also brings ideas approaches, which aims to expand knowledge of the types of violence committed against women and the great importance of reporting them to the competent bodies
