Obstetric Violence: In Search of Specific Legislation in the Brazilian Legal Framework

This work deals with the topic, Obstetric violence: In search of specific legislation in the Brazilian legal system. Its main objective is to demonstrate which behaviors are considered obstetric violence and which legislation is applied in these cases of violence, since to date there is no specific law. To carry out the work, a mixed methodology was used, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. In this way, to obtain the results achieved in the research, the definition of obstetric violence, the definition of violence against women and where this violence fits into the crimes listed by the Penal Code, Civil Code and Federal Constitution, based on case law, took place. Assessing the conduct, behaviors and actions that cause obstetric violence.
