For a public policy that guarantees rights to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

This article aims to discuss Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and its relationship with the concept of neurodiversity, in addition to presenting the importance of medical reports to enforce the rights of individuals with autism in society. It will also address the regulations that ensure the diagnosis and educational inclusion of individuals with autism, as well as the legal provisions that guarantee access to health, work and social benefits. To this end, the main laws that guarantee the rights of people with autism will be analyzed, as well as their advances and gaps in the development of public policies for people with ASD.
