Open Access and Knowledge Dissemination

2025-02-19

We are pleased to announce that our journal adopts the Open Access model, aligning with international guidelines and recommendations for the democratization of scientific knowledge. This model allows free and unrestricted access to the published content, promoting the broad and equitable dissemination of information.

The practice of open access is supported by important international guidelines, such as:

  • UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science (2021): This recommendation promotes more open, transparent, and inclusive scientific practices, aiming to tackle global challenges and foster sustainability.

  • Directive (EU) 2019/1024: This European Union directive facilitates the reuse of public sector information and promotes open access, ensuring that this data is widely available and reusable.

  • IFLA Statement on Open Access: IFLA advocates for universal and equitable access to information, considering it essential for social, educational, cultural, and economic well-being.

  • Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI): The BOAI encourages open access publishing and the creation of open access repositories for scientific and academic knowledge.

By adopting open access, our journal reaffirms its commitment to transparency, inclusion, and the promotion of equity in sharing scientific knowledge. We invite the academic and scientific community to take advantage of the resources available, contributing to the advancement of research and innovation.
