    The International Journal of Victimology and Restorative Justice presents its special issue dedicated to women’s rights, reinforcing its commitment to the promotion of gender equality and protection against all forms of violence. This volume brings together original articles that address central themes for understanding and advancing women’s rights in the contemporary context.

    Among the highlights are studies on domestic and family violence, femicide, moral and sexual harassment, as well as analyses of the application of restorative justice in cases involving women victims of violence. The issue also discusses public policies aimed at preventing gender-based violence, protection mechanisms established in national and international legislation, and the challenges of ensuring the effective implementation of the Maria da Penha Law.

    Another relevant aspect is the intersectional approach, which considers how race, class, age, and other vulnerabilities impact the experiences of women victims.     A Revista Internacional de Vitimologia e Justiça Restaurativa inicia seu terceiro ano com a aprovação na Câmara dos Deputados do Estatuto da Vítima, o que certamente contribuirá para a difusão da ciência Vitimológica no Brasil. Nessa edição temos importantes artigos sobre coletivos vulneráveis com estatísticas estarrecedoras em todo o país, como a questão do estupro de vulnerável por incapacidade de resistência da vítima, delimitação da justiça restaurativa no cenário nacional, a temática das queimadas e como impactam a nossa saúde e qualidade do ar, a questão do controle social e a inteligência artificial, segurança escolar e polícia comunitária, violência vicária, a femenologia da vitimização, formas de proteção da vítima no crime de perseguição, soft law e o conceito de refugiados, vitimologia aplicada a idosos e saúde complementar. A diversidade e rigor científico dos artigos demonstram um amadurecimento da questão das vítimas no cenário mundial e a necessidade de tutela de seus direitos.

    With two years of innovation in Victimological Science and the Study of Restorative Justice, the Brazilian Institute of Attention and Comprehensive Support for Victims (Pró Vítima) brings us practical and theoretical studies on the subject in this edition. From the important Infovictims Brasil project, the first project to transform communication with victims outside of Europe (infovictims.com), issues involving vulnerable groups such as women and children, the recent abortion bill that provides for measures that can cause the revictimization of women and girls, to practical applications in military disciplinary processes that generative artificial intelligence brings us.     The international journal of victimology and restorative justice opens its second year. In this first volume, current themes of Victimology as a new Science are discussed, in addition to an expanded view of restorative practices in different contexts. In this edition we have a new section that deals with health, well-being and culture that encourages readers to reflect on preventive possibilities for victimization. The Editorial Board gained reinforcements. We wish you all an invigorating read on the path to social justice.

    The International Journal of Victimology and Restorative Justice is a publication of the Brazilian Institute for Comprehensive Victim Care and Protection. It aims to establish the victim's perspective in scientific studies as a way of boosting Victimological Science and new paths to be pursued in the case of traumatic events, such as crimes, public calamities and natural disasters, through innovative restorative practices. The aim is also to encourage discussion at a national level regarding the need to approve a Protective Statute for Victims' Rights.
