EDITORIAL
The third volume of the International Journal of Victimology and Restorative Justice brings intersectoral perspectives from the perspective of the victim, highlighting in this edition domestic and family violence against women and children and adolescents, community and citizen police, new therapies for adolescents with autism spectrum, victimology, restorative justice, criminal procedure and critical analysis of existing support services. This edition also contains a section dedicated to “Health, Well-being and Culture”, bearing in mind the objective of Victimological Science to further prevent tertiary victimization in our society. The new science proposed by the Brazilian Institute for Comprehensive Victim Support (Pró Vítima) at the First Brazilian Victimology Forum held in August 2023 aims to guarantee the rights of victims of crimes, public calamities and natural disasters. The development that has been carried out by the Institute and the fundamental role of this magazine confirms the need for new public policies aimed at providing comprehensive care and support to victims, including the introduction of the Victim Statute into our legal system.
