The article addresses the revictimization of women victims of gender violence, analyzing the potential contributions of the Victim Statute Law. It discusses how secondary victimization, caused by justice institutions, amplifies victims' traumas through inappropriate practices like victim-blaming, silencing, and delays in legal proceedings. Focus is placed on institutional violence and procedural harassment (gender lawfare), which reinforce gender inequality and perpetuate victims' suffering. The study proposes strengthening the implementation of the Victim Statute Law, creating protocols, and establishing a multidisciplinary commission to protect women and prevent further violence. The conclusion highlights the need for reforms in the judiciary and practical implementation of the law to ensure effective victim protection.
